Support to our members in critical situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic is among the most relevant roles of the Coalition. The manufacturing of medical devices and components that occurs in the Mexican border states with the United States is an integral element of the global medical technology supply chain critically impacted by the Mexican COVID-19 regulatory response. The Coalition supported AdvaMed, AMID and the medtech cluster associations in the states of Baja California, Sonora and Chihuahua to help overcome production disruptions that they have been facing with the state-level facility inspections.

AdvaMed, AMID, CANIFARMA, Baja’s Medical Device Cluster, and Bio El Paso-Juárez with the support of the Coalition organized two webinars which gathered 300 participants and produced the live document below to provide medtech companies and their suppliers with guidance to prepare for and pass inspections and maintain critical operations as essential industries throughout the challenging situation in those locations.
