{"id":2672,"date":"2021-08-27T20:07:23","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T20:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.interamericancoalition-medtech.org\/regulatory-convergence\/?p=2672"},"modified":"2021-08-27T20:11:39","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T20:11:39","slug":"congratulations-to-anmat-for-becoming-an-official-observer-of-the-international-medical-devices-regulators-forum-imdrf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.interamericancoalition-medtech.org\/regulatory-convergence\/congratulations-to-anmat-for-becoming-an-official-observer-of-the-international-medical-devices-regulators-forum-imdrf\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to ANMAT for becoming an Official Observer of the International medical Devices Regulators Forum (IMDRF)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"mb-3\"><strong>It is the first health authority in the region to acquire this membership in the International Forum of Medical Device Regulators.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 24, <strong>ANMAT became an Official Observer of the International Forum of Medical Device Regulators (IMDRF)<\/strong> after years of participation in its Working Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMDRF is <strong>one of the most relevant international spaces in medical devices that aims to achieve regulatory convergence in member countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By <strong>unanimous decision of the Steering Committee<\/strong>, ANMAT became an Official Observer, sharing status with the WHO and the UK Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>recognition is based on the contribution and value that ANMAT contributed to the Forum in recent years<\/strong> and that the Argentine medical device regulations comply with the standards of the guidelines developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, ANMAT is actively participating in the following IMDRF working groups: Principles of Classification of Medical Devices for In Vitro Diagnosis, Personalized Medical Devices and Clinical Evaluation of Medical Devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new recognition <strong>reinforces the positioning of the National Administration as a high surveillance health authority<\/strong>, taking as a reference the relevance that the acquisition of safe, effective and quality medical devices have had in the health systems during the context of a health emergency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is the first health authority in the region to acquire this membership in the International Forum of Medical Device Regulators.
